Below is a copy of our purchase contract. A copy will be provided with the purchase of one of our puppies.

Pet Sales and Agreement Contract

1.) Your new puppy has been bred and raised with the utmost love and care. The following points have been drawn up to maintain the quality in your puppy as well as the Miniature Schnauzer breed.

2.) The Buyer agrees to provide a lifelong commitment, comfortable safe environment, necessary medical attention, and responsible care. This includes parasite control, vaccines, proper nutrition, and access to clean fresh water at all times.

3.) The Seller has provided the Buyer with a bag of dog food that the puppy is accustomed to. The Seller highly recommends continuing with this dog food to ensure the dog gets the proper nutrition. If the Buyer chooses to switch they agree to do so gradually over a period of at least one week.

4.) The Buyer understands this dog is not to be used for breeding and is being sold with Limited AKC registration. No puppies out of or by this dog will be eligible for AKC registration.

5.) The Seller guarantees the puppy to be of sound health and temperament at the time of sale. A health record of all shots and deworming will be provided by the Seller. The Buyer may take this dog to a licensed veterinarian of his choice within 7 days for a physical examination. Should this check result in the dissatisfaction of the Buyer’s purchase, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the Seller, the dog may, upon signed diagnosis from said veterinarian, be returned for a refund of the purchase price during the above time frame.

6.) The Seller will guarantee the puppy against all proven life threatening Genetic Defects until the puppy reaches the age of three years. Buyer must notify the Seller immediately upon the diagnosis of any life threatening genetic defects. In the event such conditions develops the Seller will replace said puppy with a puppy of equal value as soon as one is available. A certified/signed document will be required from a licensed veterinarian in your state substantiating the life threatening genetic defect as well as the laboratory report backing the veterinarian’s statement before any action is taken by the Seller. The Seller does reserve the right to 1) acquire a second veterinary exam on said puppy and 2) have DNA testing performed on said puppy before a replacement puppy refund is given. If all requirements are met, Buyer has the right to a replacement puppy as stated above as soon as one is available.

7.) If at any time the Buyer cannot or chooses not to retain possession of this dog, the Seller is to be notified and given first option of resuming full ownership of the dog, in order for the Seller to ensure the dog goes to a good home. Any refunds will be at the discretion of the Seller/Buyer, deposit of $500 is nonrefundable. The dog will be returned with all AKC papers and medical records, under no circumstances will this dog be sold, leased, traded or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter or similar facility.

8.) The Seller will be available, to give such advice as possible on request by the Buyer, throughout the life of the dog.
